A Note from the President

Hello my friends,

The 9th Annual Missouri Liars Contest is just around the corner, July 8, 2023.

Come to see how it is done. The listening is free. The workshop is free. You only have to pay for your food if you choose to stay for lunch. You can also tell your own lie or some other tale you are dying to tell at the story swap.

There is a raffle for a beautiful quilt, and you can help us out by bidding on one or more of the silent auction items. Part of the money we raise goes to supplying storytellers to Missouri’s wonderful state parks.

We look forward to seeing you on the 8th and listening to your tale.

Love to you all,

Joyce Slater

President of MO-TELL

“Stories have power. They delight, enchant, touch, teach, recall, inspire, motivate, challenge. They help us understand. They imprint a picture on our minds. Consequently, stories often pack more punch than sermons. Want to make a point or raise an issue? Tell a story.”
