Tell It! Move It! A Storytelling Workshop with Robert Kikuchi-Yngojo of Eth-Noh-Tec

Wednesday, April 15 › 6:30-8 p.m.

Columbia Public Library, 100 West Broadway, Columbia, MO

Children’s Program Room

Many who tell stories ask, What should I do with my hands when I tell stories? How many facial gestures can I use? What do I do with my feet when I’m telling? A partner in the kinetic storytelling duo Eth-Noh-Tec, known for stylized, movement-based storytelling, Robert Kikuchi-Yngojo will take you through a process of creative voice, body movement, dramatic and choreographic exercises to improve your ability to use your body to enhance a narrative story. You will work on hand and facial gestures, sound effects, staging techniques, tempo, pacing and energy dynamics. Everyone will benefit from this workshop, from veteran tellers to parents who just want to captivate their own children with stories. Adults and teens.

Registration begins Tuesday, March 31. Please call 573-817-7160.
